Week 7 - Shapes, sorting, numbers, counting, showing a number

Activities:
*Rub a number - students rub a number in the middle of their paper, then draw four lines to make boxes, then draw 4 way to show the number. (dots, tally, fingers, objects, number word)  I think this year I am only going to have them show me one or two ways to make the number - it is hard for me to even come up with 4!

*Subitizing - dot the number just like the card using dot markers
*Monster Teeth - Students roll the dice, write the number and put that number of teeth on the monster.
*Subitizing Game - Cover board, partner removes the piece and places it back quick, if the friend guesses the number correctly, then he keep the piece and the game continues.
*Little Monster Roll and Cover - Roll a dot dice, place a unifix cube on the number, if you get the same number twice, you may snap it on and no one can knock you off, if you have only one on the number, someone can take that spot.  Person with the most pieces on the board, wins!
