Addition. Missing Addends, and 3D shapes

In this game the students put on 6 (which is what we are working on) and then one students takes off a few and the other friend covers their eyes and then tries to guess how many he/she took off.  A great game for missing addens.

5 in a Row for naming and describing 3D Shapes, I will try and find the blackline for this - love the versitality of this game. (found it!)

I ordered these from Scholastic with my points!  They are super great and the students really enjoy building with these.  So much better than play dough!  I think you can also buy them from Learning Reasource as well.

This is great and cute for One More and One Less.  Enjoy the download here.

In out game just keeps on going!  I just change it every 2 weeks to a new number.  This week it was 6!

These games below are some great games for your computers, I really enjoy the 3D shapes becasue they use the vocabulary that the students need to hear over and over again.  Click on the pictures to get to the game link.   And the last one is my Symbaloo, a great way to funnel your students to the right games.

February Fun in Kindergarten Math

Here you go for February!

This activity pack is full of teen numbers and addition.  Anything with a dot marker is a lot of fun! AND it's free!

Love this game, covers so many different ways to make teen numbers.

In and out game and be found here, this has been a hit for sure!  The students drop cubes and see which ones went in the circle and which ones are out of the circle and then they write a math equation.  It has gone really great!  So nice because you can change the number and the items you drop to go with the fact family you are working on.

This game from Lakeshore is one you can download onto your computer, it is $19.99 but you get 4 games in one and you can put it on your computers very easily.

This is another little freebie that tied in great with my Polar unit and measurement.  I used a ruler to set across the top of the animals to talk about even with the top.  I also used this as a time to discuss length and width.

This is so much fun!  I have "fresh" marshmallows for those friends who don't eat our yucky ones and it seems to work great.  Now I do still have the few that smell each one as they count, but that's ok!

Teen counting is here, they simply count the dots and pick the correct number.

Just a little matching game for numbers, I am not sure where I found this, but it shouldn't be hard to make!

Subtration - finally!

I introduced subtration formally this week - the students listened to half of the book and then I told them a little story about a girl/boy loosing teeth.  We counted how many she started with, wrote that number and then we took some away and completed the problem and then counted the leftover teeth.

Addtion war - who has more.

This is a great little addition game and you can control how easy or hard it gets - love it!

Here is this little game, great for shape review and you can do 2D or 3D,

Little teen tic tac toe to review teens and practice writing without reversals.

I am sure you have seen this game and I have had it in my room for years, but I forget how to play - but here is what we did.  One person is blue and one is red.  First player places his/her two pieces on two ten frames that add up to 10, so like a ten frame with 9 and a ten frame with 1, next players turn.  When I ring the bell, they look to see which one had MORE pieces on the board.
